This is a great opportunity to become a co-owner in an easily handled Stevens 1140 Dutch Steel Cruiser based at the Port de Plaisance in Saint Jean de Losne some 20km south east of Dijon and approx. 6 hours drive from Calais.
The rivers and canals never seem crowded. The locks are mostly automatic in this area with lock-keepers deployed to assist when the locks are manual. The Canal de Bourgogne joins the River Saone at St Jean, which is considered to be the boating centre of France. Just a few miles up the Saone the Canal du Rhône au Rhin sets off towards the north east. Further up the Saone the Canal entre Champagne et Bourgogne heads for the north east towards Paris. To the south of St Jean the Canal du Centre heads south east towards Digon becoming the Canal latéral à la Loire. The Saone is a beautiful, large and quiet river. Mooring on the river bank can be idyllic, plus most of the halte nautiques offer free mooring.
The St Jean de Losne marina offers parking and is close to town with a supermarket and local shops within 5 minutes walk. More supermarkets are a 15 minute walk away. The nearest railway station is just over 1km away. The town quay has river

Annuals costs are £800 this year, 50% of this has been paid for 2017
